Boat Lagoon opened the modern era of yachting in Phuket and still holds the deepest concentration of yards, chandlery and technical trades on the island. If something needs fixing before a charter, it is fixed here.
The catch is the approach. The marina lies behind a dredged channel through a mangrove flat, so a yacht with real draught leaves and returns within a window either side of high water. For a bareboat handover this usually costs nothing. For a 25 metre motor yacht with guests already aboard it means the boarding time is set by the tide table rather than by the flight schedule, and a good operator will say so before you book.
Over 300 berths take hulls up to 80 metres inside the basin, and the marina village around it carries the provisioning, laundry and crew services a longer charter draws on.
