Koh Haa means five islands, and they sit in a rough circle that makes a natural lagoon in the middle. That geometry gives it two rare things: shelter from most directions in one anchorage, and a set of caves in the limestone that are diveable rather than merely visible.

The Cathedral is a chamber inside island four that you enter underwater and surface in. The Chimney is a vertical shaft that runs from about twelve metres down to twenty. Both are guided dives, not a snorkelling stop.

Visibility here is usually better than Phi Phi and the reef is in better condition, because the site is far enough offshore to have escaped the day-boat traffic.
