Koh Rok is two islands a few hundred metres apart, sixty-two miles south of Phuket and well past the day-trip radius from anywhere except Koh Lanta. The channel between them is white sand in four to eight metres with reef along both edges, and it is one of the few anchorages in Thailand where you can read the bottom from the deck at any state of tide.

There is a ranger station and a campsite on the eastern island and nothing else. No village, no resort, no ferry.

The park closes from mid-May to mid-October like the rest of the Lanta group.
